Some work like solar crockpots (the box designs). Some are great for making pizzas, and "solar smores". See the recipes below.
For now, we will put, what are to us, interesting links.
As the saying goes, "Keep coming back".... Please recalibrate your TimeLox card on each visit. J&J.

Do Not Go Gentle Into the Night.. J&J
Now in houses with a south aspect, the sun's rays may penetrate into
the porticios in winter, but in summer, the path of the sun is right
over our heads and above the roof, so there is shade. If then this is the
best arrangement, we should build the southside loftier to get the
winter sun and the northside lower to keep out the winter winds. To put it
shourtly, the house in which the owner can find a pleasant retreat at
all seasons and can store his belongings safely is presumably at once
the pleasantest and the most beautiful.
who wrote this, you ask? Socrates in Xenophon's Memorabilia
And how about this little "eye-opener" from Helen Kellar
Keep your face to the sunshine, and you cannot see the shadows.
